SEND Tutor - #2149061

Pay: £17.18 per hour Location: Sheffield Contract: Temporary / ongoing DBS: Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service required

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Tutor to work within a specialist education setting supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
This is an education and teaching role, not a care role. You will support young people to develop the academic, practical and employability skills they need to prepare for adulthood and greater independence.

### The role

You will deliver engaging learning across areas including:

• Maths and English / Functional Skills
• Skills for independence
• Employment and work-related skills
• Digital and life skills
• Health, happiness and belonging
• Preparation for adulthood
• Aspirational and personal development

You will plan and deliver learning, assess and monitor progress, adapt materials to individual learner needs and work closely with other tutors, learning mentors, therapists and parents/carers.

### We are looking for someone who:

Has experience teaching or tutoring young people with SEND Has a recognised teaching/tutoring qualification Can plan, deliver and assess learning Is confident supporting Maths and English development Can adapt teaching to different abilities and individual needs Is positive, patient and genuinely ambitious for young people's outcomes Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary education team

You must already hold a clear Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service due to the immediate nature of the booking.
