Sue Ross Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Social Media Coordinator to join their team on an 18-24 month fixed-term contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate and aspiring marketing professional looking to gain valuable hands-on experience in content creation, social media management and digital marketing. The role would suit someone with a degree in Marketing, Digital Media, English, Journalism or a related subject who is keen to develop their skills in a creative and fast-paced environment.
Working closely with the marketing team, you'll play a key role in bringing the organisation's stories, activities and achievements to life through engaging digital content.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing creative, original and engaging content ideas in response to a variety of briefs.
- Capturing high-quality photo and video content for use across social media and digital channels.
- Editing and producing engaging content using a range of content creation and design platforms.
- Creating social media assets that align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives.
- Ensuring all content meets accessibility standards and digital best practice.
- Supporting the delivery of diverse content that showcases activity from across the organisation.
- Monitoring social media trends and identifying opportunities to create innovative and engaging content.
- Maintaining social media templates, image libraries, video archives and stock content resources.
- Assisting with content planning, scheduling and campaign delivery across multiple platforms.
- Supporting wider marketing and communications projects as required.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about social media and content creation.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism or a related discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Confidence using social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
Desirable Skills
- Experience creating content through university projects, internships, placements or personal channels.
- Knowledge of design and editing tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut or similar.
- Understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting.
- Basic knowledge of accessibility requirements for digital content.
