Operations Manager - #2150296

We're working with a growing electrical contractor based in Worksop that is looking to appoint an Operations Manager to work directly alongside the business owner and play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an electrical background who enjoys variety and wants to be involved in both operational management and project delivery. The successful candidate will act as the owner's right-hand person, supporting everything from planning and coordination to project management and business operations.

Initially, the role will be split across operational support, project coordination and office management duties. As the business continues to grow and secure additional work, the role will naturally develop into a more project-focused position with greater responsibility for managing multiple live projects.

The Role

Working closely with the business owner, responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day operational management of the business
• Assisting with the planning, coordination and delivery of electrical projects
• Producing project plans, programmes and schedules
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams
• Managing project documentation and progress reporting
• Assisting with procurement and resource planning
• Coordinating labour requirements and project timelines
• Monitoring ongoing works and ensuring projects remain on track
• Attending client and site meetings where required
• Supporting commercial and administrative functions within the business
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
• Acting as a trusted right-hand person to the owner as the company continues to expand

About You

We're looking for a proactive individual who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and enjoys helping a growing business succeed.

Ideally, you will have:

• An electrical background within construction, building services or related sectors
• Experience in project coordination, project management or operations management
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and project administration
• A hands-on approach and willingness to support across all areas of the business
• The ambition to grow with the company and take on increasing responsibility over time
