Physiotherapy SEN TA - #2151858

PK Education is looking for a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with physical disabilities and additional needs in a Sheffield school.

In this role, you’ll help pupils take part in learning and school life while supporting their mobility and physical development. You’ll work with teachers and follow programmes set by qualified physiotherapists and other health professionals.

What you’ll do

• Support pupils in lessons and with everyday school activities.

• Help pupils carry out prescribed movement and physiotherapy exercises under guidance.

• Assist with mobility, positioning and the safe use of specialist equipment, following your training and each pupil’s care plan.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and the wider school team.

• Record progress and share observations with the appropriate staff.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or physical disabilities.

• An understanding of mobility needs, moving and handling, or physiotherapy programmes.

• A patient, encouraging approach and strong communication skills.

• A commitment to safeguarding and helping every pupil feel included.

Relevant training or experience in a school, care or therapy setting would be an advantage.
