HR Manager

Salary: £40,000-£46,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Inspire Resourcing Ltd are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead and manage all HR operations across a successful and growing manufacturing business. This is a hands-on, site based position offering the opportunity to play a key role in shaping people practices, supporting managers, and driving employee engagement across the organisation.
Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will provide a professional, responsive, confidential, and commercially focused HR service. You will be responsible for ensuring all HR processes are effective, compliant, and aligned with business objectives while supporting a positive and productive workplace culture.
Duties include:
Employee Lifecycle & HR Support
Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and offboarding.
Coordinate and continuously improve induction programmes, probation reviews, employee documentation, and HR records.
Maintain and develop the company training matrix.
Advise and support managers on employee performance, attendance, development, and workplace concerns.
Provide coaching and guidance to managers on people management best practices.
Recruitment & Selection
Lead recruitment campaigns from job advertising through to appointment.
Conduct interviews, reference checks, right-to-work verification, and pre-employment screening.
Partner with hiring managers
Promote effective selection processes and safer recruitment practices.
Ensure recruitment activities align with company values and long-term workforce planning objectives.
Employee Relations & Compliance
Provide expert guidance on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management, and capability matters.
Conduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, and employee meetings with professionalism and discretion.
Ensure HR policies and procedures remain up to date and compliant with UK employment legislation.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters with integrity.
Support management in achieving fair and consistent employee relations outcomes.
Learning & Development
Identify skills gaps and training needs across the organisation.
Develop and coordinate training plans to support employee growth and succession planning.
Facilitate appraisal processes and career development discussions.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and engagement.
Support managers in maximising team performance through effective communication and leadership practices.
HR Strategy & Reporting
Produce HR metrics and reports to support business decisions.
Monitor absenteeism, turnover, recruitment performance, and employee engagement trends.
Recommend improvements to HR processes and systems.
Support business growth through effective workforce planning and talent development initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience within an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or Senior HR Advisor role.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations cases from investigation through to conclusion.
- Strong recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and talent acquisition experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Practical, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards
- Experience developing training programmes and employee development initiatives.
- Knowledge of workforce planning and succession planning.
