Engineering Parts Planner – Sheffield – £35,000–£40,000

Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a leading aerospace manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an experienced Engineering Parts Planner to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in aerospace manufacturing, production planning or parts coordination who enjoys being hands-on and working closely with production teams.

Around 80% of this role will be based on the shop floor, working directly with Cell Leaders, Production and Stores teams to keep parts moving and ensure production stays on schedule.

As an Engineering Parts Planner, you will play a key role in keeping production running smoothly and ensuring parts and materials are available when required.

This is a hands-on, shop-floor-based role, with approximately 80% of your time spent working directly within the manufacturing environment.

Your duties will include:

• Monitoring and expediting parts through the production process.

• Working directly with Cell Leaders and production teams to understand priorities and identify potential delays.

• Running expedite and work-to-list reports to keep WIP moving.

• Liaising with Planning and Stores to ensure materials and components are available when required.

• Maintaining live production boards and providing updates on production progress.

• Supporting daily production meetings and communicating priorities across the business.

• Coordinating the movement of parts between different areas of the factory.

• Identifying potential issues with parts availability and escalating concerns where required.

• Supporting stock takes and inventory checks.

• Attending daily hotspot meetings and providing clear updates on product status and priorities.

• Supporting the Business Unit Manager with customer updates and production information.

• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the production planning process.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience within aerospace manufacturing – essential.

• Experience in production planning, parts planning, production control or a similar role.

• Experience working to production targets and deadlines.

• Strong organisational and coordination skills.

• Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with different teams.

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

• The ability to manage changing priorities and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• A proactive approach and the ability to use your own initiative.

• A hands-on approach and enjoys being based within a busy manufacturing environment.
