Progress Tutor - Sheffield Secondary Schools

Academics Agency is recruiting dependable and flexible Progress Tutors to support secondary schools throughout Sheffield.

Position: Progress Tutor
Employment Type: Temporary, during term time only (Monday to Friday)
Placement: Multiple educational settings in the Sheffield area
Salary: £92.56 - £110 per day, including accrued holiday entitlement. Higher rates may be offered based on prior experience, credentials, and individual school budgets.

As a Progress Tutor, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Duties:

• Provide targeted one-to-one and small group tutoring sessions across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Monitor student progress, identify areas for development, and implement strategies to raise attainment.
• Assist with the practical application of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), collaborating with Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCOs) to tailor materials and monitor student development.
• Support students in building confidence, study skills, and independent learning techniques.
• Work alongside teaching staff to track progress and provide feedback on student performance.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant tutoring or teaching qualification (e.g., Level 4/5 or equivalent) is desirable.
• Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
• A valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or a readiness to obtain one.
• Two professional references confirming your experience as a Progress Tutor or in a similar role.
