Cyber Business Simulation and Exercise Lead - Contract

Sheffield

Join Global Cybersecurity Operations and Intelligence as part of a small global team delivering realistic cyber business simulations that test decision-making, escalation, and resilience across the organisation. You'll translate technical threats into business-relevant scenarios, coordinate complex stakeholder logistics, and produce the reporting that informs senior leadership on cyber preparedness.

What you'll do:

  • Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of cyber business simulations — timelines, stakeholder inputs, materials, dependencies
  • Collect and assess technical/business data to identify blast radius, affected systems, and relevant scenarios
  • Map cyber kill chains and threat pathways into credible business simulation scenarios
  • Create exercise products: scenario narratives, injects, briefing packs, facilitation notes, action logs
  • Produce clear executive reports, management information, and lessons-learned summaries
  • Support after-action reviews, readouts, and follow-up action tracking
  • Work closely with technical SMEs, senior leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders

What you'll bring:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, confident working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent planning and logistical coordination capability
  • Ability to interpret technical/business data to support scenario and blast-radius design
  • Working knowledge of cyber incident response, kill-chain concepts, and threat scenarios
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to make complex topics accessible to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with simulations, tabletop/crisis exercises, operational resilience, or similar coordination-focused delivery work
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration/reporting tools

Nice to have: Certifications in project management, risk management, operational resilience, crisis management, or cybersecurity; presentation/facilitation experience.

Ideal for: someone who combines strong stakeholder coordination and planning skills with enough cyber fluency to turn technical threat data into scenarios senior leaders can engage with — this role prioritises delivery and communication capability over deep technical depth.
