Corporate Tax Manager

£54,000 to £64,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

Real portfolio ownership, with a route to senior manager level. A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Sheffield is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Corporate Tax Manager to take ownership of a varied corporate portfolio.

The tax practice is growing and technically strong, with a collaborative culture behind it. Crowe Watson Recruitment understands the corporate tax landscape across Sheffield and the wider region.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate clients across compliance and advisory services
• Advising on corporation tax, group structures, reorganisations and tax planning
• Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by junior staff
• Developing and maintaining trusted client relationships
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team and supporting their development
• Contributing to business development activity and proposals

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong corporate tax background gained in practice
• At least three years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a corporate portfolio across compliance and advisory work
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and current developments
• Excellent client facing skills, commercially minded and proactive
