FS2 Supply Teacher - Sheffield

Are you a dedicated FS2 Supply Teacher looking for flexible teaching opportunities across Reception classes in Sheffield?

Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting FS2 Supply Teachers for temporary, ongoing supply work across primary schools in Sheffield.

This FS2 Supply Teacher opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping children prepare for the transition into Year 1 while developing their early learning skills. Opportunities may include day-to-day supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements across a variety of Sheffield primary schools.

Position: FS2 Supply Teacher

Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire

Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply

Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)

Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

As an FS2 Supply Teacher in Sheffield, you will teach Reception-aged children and support their development across the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The FS2 Supply Teacher will create engaging learning experiences through structured activities and play-based learning, helping children develop communication, early literacy and numeracy skills, confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging learning activities for FS2 pupils
  • Support early literacy, numeracy and communication
  • Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment
  • Promote learning through play and exploration
  • Observe and assess children's development
  • Support children's social and emotional wellbeing
  • Prepare children for the transition into Year 1
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching Reception or within EYFS
  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Caring, patient and adaptable approach
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate or willingness to obtain one
