Job Title: Lead Architect – Risk & Compliance

Duration: long-term contract

Location: Sheffield-Based Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Architect to support Risk & Compliance (R&C) Technology, providing architectural guidance across projects and programmes. The role will focus on solution design, target architecture, governance, risk management, and alignment with Group architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and challenge solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
• Develop target and transition architectures for the assigned domain.
• Represent architecture in governance forums and manage cross-programme dependencies and risks.
• Support Build vs Buy decisions and Low-Code/No-Code governance.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives, including the Compass platform and AI/GenAI programmes.
• Provide architectural guidance and improve solution architecture capabilities across engineering teams.

Required Experience:

• Strong experience in enterprise or solution architecture, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Experience in risk, compliance, or other complex technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of architecture governance, target-state design, and technology strategy.
• Ability to manage architectural risks, dependencies, and stakeholder relationships.
