Business Systems Analyst

Hybrid Working | Sheffield (2-3 days per week) | Permanent

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to drive business process improvement, technology change, and automation initiatives across a growing organisation. This role is focused on understanding how the business operates, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, and ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value.

This is a true Business Systems Analyst position, not a Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Consultant role. Whilst experience with Salesforce or similar business systems would be beneficial, the priority is finding someone with strong business analysis, process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and requirements gathering expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process discovery, analysis, and process mapping activities across the business
• Gather, document, and prioritise business and system requirements
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels to understand challenges and opportunities
• Prioritise technology initiatives based on business needs, value, and impact
• Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation
• Support ROI assessments, business impact analysis, and benefits realisation
• Work closely with internal SMEs, technology teams, and external delivery partners
• Collaborate with AI teams to support the delivery and adoption of AI-driven solutions
• Manage technology backlogs and ensure initiatives align with business priorities
• Drive successful adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar
• Strong process mapping, analysis, and business improvement skills
• Excellent requirements gathering and stakeholder management experience
• Ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements
• Experience prioritising technology and transformation initiatives
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess business impact and ROI
• Experience working with third-party suppliers and delivery partners
• Exposure to automation, digital transformation, or AI-enabled initiatives
• Salesforce experience is advantageous but not essential
