Retail Sales & Production Assistant - #2172584

Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with optional Saturday shifts, 10am–2pm

Pay: £13.50–£14.50 per hour depending on experience.

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and hands-on person to help run our retail store and support our production team.

We Do Workwear is a family-run business supplying workwear, safety footwear and branded uniforms.

You’ll help customers find the right products, keep the shop looking its best and lend a hand behind the scenes during quieter periods.

What you’ll be doing

• Welcoming and serving customers, using our POS system, processing card payments and handling cash accurately.
• Offering helpful product advice, with training provided.
• Identifying opportunities to recommend additional products and explain current offers.
• Unpacking deliveries, checking goods into stock, pricing products and replenishing shelves.
• Keeping the shop clean, tidy, well organised and presentable.
• Learning about our workwear and safety products, including safety ratings for footwear, gloves and hi-vis clothing.
• Supporting production during quieter shop periods by checking stock, carrying out quality checks on completed orders and helping with straightforward production and packing tasks.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be approachable, honest and dependable, with a positive attitude and good attention to detail. You should enjoy speaking to customers, feel comfortable recommending products and take pride in keeping things organised.

We need someone who can use their initiative, take responsibility for the shop’s day-to-day presentation and switch between retail and production tasks as needed.

Retail or customer service experience would be useful, but a willingness to learn and get involved is just as important. Previous workwear knowledge isn’t essential, we’ll provide product training.
