Legal Counsel

Part-time role – 3 days a week

We are seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join a leading UK business operating in a complex, fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders, providing pragmatic legal advice across a wide range of commercial, regulatory and operational matters.

This is a broad and varied role, offering a high level of exposure to senior leadership. This role offers you an opportunity to shape legal processes and influence decision-making.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
• Advising on legal risk, compliance and day-to-day business matters.
• Supporting dispute resolution and managing external counsel.
• Providing guidance on data protection, regulatory and governance issues.
• Managing intellectual property matters and insurance-related claims.
• Developing legal templates, policies and processes to support the wider business.
• Partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver practical, commercially focused solutions.

About You

• Qualified solicitor or barrister with a minimum of 5 PQE.
• Previous in-house experience preferred.
• Strong commercial contracting and negotiation skills.
• Pragmatic, solutions-focused and commercially aware.
• Confident building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Able to work autonomously while managing a varied workload.
