Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite
Rate: £36.38 PAYE / £48.99 Umbrella per hour

The Opportunity

BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join its Sheffield team on an initial 12-month contract.

You will lead external communications and marketing campaigns to strengthen brand awareness, support business growth and enhance stakeholder engagement within the Weapon Systems UK business unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver strategic marketing and external communications campaigns.
• Manage media relations, press releases and executive communications.
• Lead digital and social media content, advertising, exhibitions and events.
• Build relationships with external stakeholders, media and industry partners.
• Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure communications meet corporate brand guidelines and messaging.
• Provide strategic advice and coordinate communications across teams.
• Support crisis communications, change management and reputation management.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in marketing, communications or external affairs.
• Strong content creation and campaign management skills.
• Experience managing media relations and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written communication, organisation and project management skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and work independently.
• Experience measuring campaign performance and delivering results.
• Degree, equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline.

Desirable: Defence or engineering sector experience.
