Are you an experienced White Collar Construction Perms Recruiter who enjoys winning business, building relationships and delivering successful placements, but is ready for a new challenge outside of traditional agency recruitment?

My client is an established training and skills provider working alongside businesses across the construction sector, alongside a specialist service supporting social housing organisations. They are now looking to grow their recruitment offering, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter to play a key role in developing the service.

This is an exciting opportunity to take your recruitment experience into a business-focused role where you can help shape and grow a specialist recruitment offering across construction and housing.

With an established network of client relationships and opportunities to develop new business, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact, build your own market and play a key role in the future growth of the recruitment function.

The Role

This is a hands-on recruitment position suited to someone who understands the full recruitment lifecycle, from winning vacancies and developing client relationships through to sourcing candidates, negotiating offers and securing placements.

Your primary focus will be permanent white-collar construction recruitment, alongside the opportunity to develop recruitment solutions within the social housing sector.

You’ll initially operate as a standalone recruitment lead, with the opportunity to build and manage your own team as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow permanent recruitment opportunities across the construction sector.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, hiring managers and key decision-makers.
  • Convert existing introductions into new vacancies while proactively developing your own client base.
  • Recruit white-collar construction professionals, including Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, Commercial Managers, Bid Professionals, Site Managers, Project Managers and Contracts Managers.
  • Manage the full recruitment process, from taking the brief through to offer management and placement.
  • Source, engage and build long-term relationships with high-quality candidates.
  • Negotiate fees, manage offers and develop repeat business.
  • Explore opportunities to expand recruitment services into the social housing market.
  • Monitor performance, identify growth opportunities and contribute to the development of the wider recruitment function.
  • Have the opportunity to recruit, develop and lead a team as the business expands.

About You

You’ll be an experienced recruitment professional with a strong background in white-collar construction permanent recruitment and a genuine understanding of how to build a successful recruitment desk.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience recruiting permanent construction professionals.
  • A track record of winning vacancies, making placements and developing repeat business.
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing the full 360 recruitment process.
  • A commercial mindset, with the confidence to negotiate fees and identify new opportunities.
  • The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and take ownership of your results.
  • Ambition to develop your career beyond a traditional agency recruitment environment.

Previous experience mentoring or managing other recruiters would be advantageous, although the opportunity to grow into a leadership role is equally important.

What's on Offer?

  • Salary up to £45,000, plus bonus.
  • Hybrid working.
  • The opportunity to move away from the traditional agency recruitment environment.
  • A varied role with scope to influence and develop a growing recruitment function.
  • Access to established client relationships and new business opportunities.
  • The autonomy to develop your market and shape how the recruitment service grows.
  • The opportunity to build and lead your own team as the business expands.
  • 25 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays.
  • Professional development and networking opportunities.
