- As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will work closely with engineering teams, architects, security specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative cloud-native solutions that support critical business services.
- You will contribute to platform strategy, drive automation initiatives, enhance operational excellence, and help shape the future of cloud and infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering initiatives across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes, delivering secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure capabilities.
- Work within one or more engineering pods, helping define technical requirements, conducting design reviews, and providing hands-on engineering support throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Design, build, configure, and operate AWS-based solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily Terraform, to improve consistency, reliability, and deployment efficiency.

- Collaborate with Cloud Services, Application DevOps, Architecture, Security, Risk, Compliance, and IT teams to ensure platform standards, remediation activities, and delivery objectives are consistently achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform stability, security, observability, and operational excellence.
Skills & Experience Required
- Extensive hands-on experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Proven experience designing, building, deploying, monitoring, and supporting production platforms and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong practical knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes, with experience delivering highly available, secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Experience with modern DevOps practices including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, version control, and controlled production deployments.
- Working knowledge of technologies including Docker, Helm, service mesh technologies, Python, cloud-native deployment tools, monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
- Experience supporting cloud migrations and addressing governance, compliance, security, resilience, capacity management, and operational readiness challenges.
- Strong understanding of cloud financial management, resource governance, and cost optimisation, with the ability to identify and implement measurable improvements.
- Sound understanding of security best practices, architecture governance, compliance requirements, risk management, and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, and DevOps delivery frameworks.
Desirable Experience
- Experience evaluating, integrating, or operating multi-vendor Large Language Model (LLM) workloads within AWS and Kubernetes environments.
- Previous experience within a highly regulated industry, particularly financial services or banking.
- Familiarity with collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
