PK Education is recruiting strong Cover Supervisors to support a secondary school in Rotherham. This is a challenging environment where a calm, consistent approach and the ability to engage students are essential.

You will supervise classes during teacher absence, deliver pre-set work and keep pupils focused on their learning. This role would suit someone who can think on their feet, manage challenging behaviour professionally and bring a positive attitude to every lesson.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising pre-set lessons across a range of subjects.
• Maintaining a safe, productive classroom and following the school’s behaviour policy.
• Giving clear instructions and supporting pupils to complete their work.
• Building positive relationships while maintaining high expectations.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff and reporting any concerns.

We are looking for candidates who have:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally in a classroom setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills and the confidence to lead a class.
• A calm, resilient approach when faced with challenging situations.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to supporting young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
