Elevation Recruitment Group’s Skilled Shop Floor Team are working with an established business to recruit a Stores Operative to join their team.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with previous stores or warehouse experience who enjoys working in a practical environment. Alongside managing stock and goods inwards, you will support deliveries, collections and general site duties to help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.

The Role

As a Stores Operative, your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, checking and booking in incoming deliveries, ensuring stock records are kept accurate.

• Picking and issuing materials for workshop and site jobs, monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

• Organising stock locations, carrying out regular stock checks and maintaining a clean, safe and tidy stores area.

• Completing deliveries and collections of materials, parts and equipment, ensuring all paperwork is accurate.

• Loading and unloading vehicles safely, securing goods for transport and carrying out routine vehicle checks.

• Supporting the wider team with moving materials, workshop housekeeping, yard organisation and general site maintenance duties.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within a stores, warehouse or stock control environment.

• A full, valid UK driving licence.

• A valid FLT licence.

• Basic computer skills, including maintaining stock records and completing paperwork.

• A practical, hands-on approach with the flexibility to support different areas of the business.
