Commercial Building Surveyor - #2180834

Location: South Yorkshire
Rate: £450 per day (Umbrella, Inside IR35)
Contract: Initial 3 months
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days onsite

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Building Surveyor to join a South Yorkshire local authority on an initial 3-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor with a strong background in commercial refurbishments, capital works and property improvement projects, supporting the delivery of a varied portfolio of council-owned buildings and assets.

Key Responsibilities
·Deliver building surveying services across refurbishment, alteration and capital works projects.
·Undertake building and condition surveys, producing detailed technical reports.
·Prepare technical specifications, AutoCAD drawings, cost estimates and tender documentation.
·Manage projects from inception through to completion, including contract administration and contractor supervision.
·Oversee works onsite, monitoring quality, budgets, programmes and compliance.
·Ensure adherence to Building Regulations, planning requirements, CDM Regulations 2015 and health and safety legislation.
·Liaise with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.

Essential Requirements
·Proven commercial building surveying experience, particularly refurbishment and improvement works.
·Strong AutoCAD skills (essential); Revit experience desirable.
·Experience in contract administration, project management and site supervision.
·Sound knowledge of Building Regulations, asbestos, planning processes and CDM requirements.
·Experience producing technical drawings, specifications and condition reports.
·Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
