Tax and Accounts Senior - #2183486

A Sheffield practice with a varied client base (including some very interesting creative clients) is looking to hire a Senior to own a portfolio of jobs from bookkeeping through to draft accounts.

The role

• Bookkeeping for small and larger clients, including purchase and sales invoices, supplier and customer reconciliations and full bank reconciliations
• Some foreign currency work, with multiple bank accounts in multiple currencies
• Adhoc reconciliations such as agency, PayPal, credit card and royalty accounts
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for manager review
• Prepare year-end accounts to draft stage, working through review notes with the Manager before finalisation
• Prepare personal tax returns for review
• Day-to-day client contact by phone and email
• Occasional specialist extras, such as HMRC forms for touring acts, withholding tax forms, tour budget reconciliations and commission calculations

About you

• 2 to 3+ years in an accountancy practice
• Study support on offer if required.
• Hands-on experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar, and very confident in Excel
• IRIS experience preferable
• Proactive, self-motivated and well organised
