Senior Electrical Design Engineer - #2183502

The Opportunity

6 months plus contract working on a hybrid basis for this leading Building Services Consultancy based in Sheffield. You will be taking ownership of electrical design projects, lead a small engineering team and build your experience across healthcare, residential, education and commercial developments.

You’ll work on projects ranging from smaller sites to multi-million-pound schemes, combining technical delivery with team leadership and direct client contact. The practice offers structured development, professional support and the opportunity to contribute to a growing business.

The role

• Lead electrical design delivery and coordinate work with other engineering disciplines.

• Manage a small team, providing technical guidance, training and support.

• Liaise directly with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.

• Attend project meetings and represent the practice internally and externally.

• Monitor budgets and control expenditure within your areas of responsibility.

• Support work-winning activity and help maintain strong client relationships.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have relevant building services design experience, ideally with at least five years in engineering design, and the confidence to take responsibility for projects and support other engineers.

An HND, degree or master’s qualification in building services is preferred, together with professional institution membership. You’ll also need an understanding of CAD or similar modelling software, strong organisational skills and a practical, collaborative approach.
