TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Sheffield, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant. The school provides opportunities for students of varying abilities to develop their academic skills, confidence and independence within a mainstream secondary education setting.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis, with both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, providing general classroom assistance, small group interventions and 1:1 support, working closely with subject teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and promote positive behaviour.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable

• Experience working with young people in a mainstream Secondary School or similar educational setting

• Experience supporting students across KS3 and KS4

• Confidence providing classroom support, small group interventions and 1:1 assistance

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A patient, enthusiastic and adaptable approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude
