Litigator - #2185640
CRA Consulting
CRA Consulting is currently working with a respected and well-established law firm looking to add an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Fee Earner to its growing claimant department.
The firm has built a strong reputation for representing individuals who have suffered injury, with a focus on delivering quality legal advice and achieving positive outcomes for clients. This is a good opportunity to join an established team where you'll have the autonomy to manage your own files, alongside the support of experienced colleagues.
The position is open to Fee Earners, Litigation Executives, Legal Executives and experienced Paralegals who have a background in claimant Personal Injury and are looking for a new challenge.
The Work
You'll be responsible for progressing your own caseload of claimant Personal Injury claims, with the complexity of matters reflecting your experience.
The caseload may cover:
Road Traffic Accident claims
Employers' Liability and Public Liability
Occupiers' Liability
More complex and serious injury matters, depending on experience
You'll oversee claims from initial investigation through to settlement or litigation, ensuring clients receive clear advice and are kept informed throughout the process.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and progressing a personal caseload of claimant PI matters
Investigating liability, causation and quantum
Advising clients on prospects, valuations and the next steps in their claims
Drafting pleadings, correspondence and legal documentation
Reviewing medical evidence and obtaining supporting documentation
Taking witness evidence and preparing statements
Preparing schedules of loss
Liaising with insurers, medical experts, counsel and other relevant parties
Negotiating settlements and working towards the best possible outcomes
Managing litigated claims, court directions and procedural deadlines
Assisting with hearing and trial preparation where required
The Person
You'll already have experience working within claimant Personal Injury, with the confidence to handle your own files and progress matters with a good degree of independence.
The firm would ideally like someone who has:
A solid understanding of claimant PI litigation
Experience managing their own caseload
Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and litigation processes
Good drafting, negotiation and communication skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
A proactive approach to file management
A client-focused mindset
Applications are particularly welcomed from those with EL/PL experience or exposure to more complex and serious injury work, although a broader claimant PI background will also be considered.
The Benefits
Alongside a competitive salary reflective of experience, the firm offers:
Generous annual leave plus bank holidays
Company pension
Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, subject to the role
Ongoing training and professional development
Opportunities for long-term career progression
A friendly and supportive working environment
A little more about the opportunity...
This isn't simply another opportunity to work through a high-volume claims caseload. The firm is keen to appoint someone who wants to take responsibility for their files, develop their technical knowledge and play an active role within an established litigation team.
If you're currently working in claimant Personal Injury and feel it could be the right time for a move, I'd be happy to talk through the opportunity in more detail.
