We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Minor Surgery Clinician to join our dynamic healthcare team at CHEC. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on patient care and contribute to our commitment to excellence.
About the Role
The role holder is to be accountable for high quality clinical care to adult patients attending the community minor surgery service.
We are looking for someone who can:
- Conduct minor surgical procedures, including excisions, biopsies, cyst removals, and suturing.
- Perform pre-operative assessments and post-operative follow-up care.
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
Who we are looking for:
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Experienced GPs with a specialist interest in minor surgery, Accredited GPwERs or GPwSI in Dermatology who also perform Minor Surgery
- Evidence of specialty training in a relevant field, such as, Dermatology, General Surgery or Plastic Surgery.
- Proven experience in performing minor surgical procedures independently.
- Proficiency in local anaesthesia techniques and wound closure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Performers List proof (any performers list in the UK is acceptable)
