Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.


• Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.


• Select appropriate materials and techniques for each project to achieve the desired aesthetic.


• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes.


• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.


• Keep work areas tidy and organised during projects to promote efficiency and professionalism.


• Collaborate with other tradespeople as required to complete projects on time.

Requirements

• Proven experience in painting and decorating, with a strong portfolio of completed work.


• Ability to drive to various job sites as required.


• Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with clients and team members.


• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting and decorating is advantageous.
