Key responsibilities

  1. Create innovative solutions using data and research to address organisational challenges.

  2. Take a big-picture approach in analyzing business operations, driving improvements across teams.

  3. Work with senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programs, overseeing them from start to finish.

  4. Enhance operational performance on all programs in partnership with stakeholders.


A day in the life

As a Senior Programme Manager, you’ll lead the implementation of data-driven changes, managing improvement projects and programs. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and execute efficient project plans. Depending on your team and tasks, you may work on-site or remotely.


Senior Programme Managers handle complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. Beyond process improvements, you may contribute to areas like diversity, equity, and inclusion.


About the team

The Amazon Global Logistics (GL) EU team is committed to delivering on our motto: "Work hard. Have fun. Make History!" We are a team of experienced logistics professionals, carrier specialists, and program managers focused on improving Amazon’s cross-border logistics speed and reliability. Our responsibilities include managing freight movement from global manufacturing hubs into Amazon’s marketplaces, leveraging world-class logistics providers and internal solutions to increase selection and reduce costs.


We seek a highly skilled Program Manager to develop transportation capabilities for ocean freight into Europe for cross-border imports. This role involves planning with product, ocean, customs, and destination teams to meet SLA and cost targets, leading reviews with senior leaders, and creating a reliable, cost-efficient supply chain to support business growth. Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision-making, and stakeholder management are essential. The role may require up to 15% travel for on-site visits and coordination with carriers and logistics providers.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or related fields

  • Experience in program or project management

  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to leadership

  • Experience defining requirements and using data for improvements

  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • Experience implementing processes and driving automation or standardization


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s degree

  • PMP certification
