(Account Manager / Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager – HVAC | Distributor Channel Sales)


Location: UK – North UK


We are recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager to join a highly respected manufacturer of commercial refrigeration systems — a well-established name with a strong reputation in the UK HVAC/R sector.


This role has proven success through partnerships with several of the UK's leading HVAC distributors. It primarily focuses on account management — maintaining strong relationships, driving growth through existing channels, and supporting installer/contractor sales via your distribution partners.


There is also a long-term opportunity for business development, as the company reviews its channel strategy and identifies potential for additional distribution partnerships.


The Role

  1. Manage and develop key distributor relationships across the UK HVAC/R market.

  2. Support distributor sales teams to help drive demand at installer and contractor levels.

  3. Train and educate distributor and contractor partners on new product launches, technical features, and system benefits.

  4. Identify new growth opportunities within existing accounts, focusing on product penetration and volume increases.

  5. Assess strategically the potential to bring new distributors into the network over time.

  6. Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to ensure brand visibility and technical support are top-notch.


Background

  • Sales experience within HVAC, Refrigeration, or wider Engineering sectors is essential.

  • Strong understanding of distributor channels and sales cycles to installers and contractors.

  • Comfortable with an account management-led role that is commercially aware and proactive.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage key distribution relationships.

  • Confident presenter and relationship-builder, capable of engaging at both branch and senior levels.


Package on Offer

  • Salary: £45,000–£52,000 + Bonus (20%)
