Data Services Manager

Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a leading service provider to recruit an experienced Data Services Manager to lead a team of data professionals in the design, development, and maintenance of data systems and services. This role requires strong data governance, technical skills and leadership abilities.

The Role

As a Data Services Manager you will lead a team of data professionals to deliver high-quality data solutions and services on time and within budget.

The Responsibilities

  • Mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritise project and BAU tasks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage the data services lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks to ensure targets are achieved or exceeded.
  • Deliver projects to deadlines whilst ensuring adherence to data standards and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in data services.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of controls and security considerations with regard to data assets.
  • Regularly test and maintain all controls in your area of responsibility.
  • Documentation of design processes using core data principles
  • Maintain appropriate controls and security considerations in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Own the data quality control and analysis for inconsistencies and apply corrective measures.

The Requirements

  • Previous Data Governance experience
  • Previous Line Management experience
  • Excellent skills in BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Sigma).
  • Experience of design, implementation, and management of data warehouses.
