Job Summary

Time Served CNC Machinist.

Machine forgings and tooling to specified drawings across both manual and CNC machining centres. The parts machined feed both the commercial and aerospace markets.

Key Objectives of the Role

• H&S – Work in a safe and responsible manner. (For own and other people’s safety).
• Conduct any pre-shift H&S checks as specified; for example: Hoist Crane.
• Maintain a high standard of workplace housekeeping (5s Duties)
• Ensure ALL Quality procedures and processes are followed.
• Machine parts to drawing.
• Use measuring equipment (Micrometers, Vernier, Wall Thickness Meter, Surface Roughness gauge).
• Material Movements.
  
  

Essential

• Machining working under +/-.025
• Manual Turning Experience
• CNC Milling/Turning Experience
• Understanding of Fanuc CNC Controls
• Good communication skills
• Part programming an advantage
• Flexibility
• Windows based computer skills – Advantage
• Experience with machining Forgings – Advantage

Knowledge

• Time served Mechanical Manufacturing or equivalent
• Forklift License to RTITB/ITSSAR or any other national accredited qualification– Advantage
• Overhead Crane/Lifting Certification – Advantage

Working Hours Summary

The Average Standard Hours worked per month are 182.6, approximately 42 hours per week. The role from time to time may require the working of longer hours and weekends. The current shift pattern is known as the 15s and attracts a shift premium of 22%. Historical we have worked a 24/6 operation.
