Accounts Assistant - #2066610

We are recruiting for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a growing finance team based in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience looking to develop their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently
• Managing supplier statements and reconciling accounts
• Assisting with bank reconciliations
• Supporting month-end processes
• Handling queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Maintaining accurate financial records and data entry
• Assisting with credit control and aged debt reporting
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills

Desirable

• AAT qualification (or actively studying)
• Experience working within a fast-paced or high-volume environment
