HGV Driver - #2080768

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established manufacturing and distribution business in the Sheffield area to recruit an experienced HGV Driver. This is a permanent, full-time position offering stable weekday hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to become part of a successful and growing operation.

HGV Driver
Sheffield Area
£17.30 per hour
Monday to Friday | Core Hours 7:00am – 4:00pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out scheduled deliveries and collections across customer and supplier sites nationwide
• Ensure goods are transported safely, securely, and efficiently
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance requirements
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required
• Complete delivery paperwork, transport records, and proof of delivery documentation accurately
• Adhere to all driver hours, tachograph, and transport compliance regulations
• Maintain high standards of road safety and professional driving practices
• Build positive working relationships with customers and colleagues
• Report any operational issues, incidents, or delays promptly

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence (Class 1 preferred)
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience within a commercial driving or delivery environment
• Good understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and efficiently
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused approach
• Ability travel nationwide with potential for overnight stay when required
