We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Supply Chain Planner to join our Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for managing key customer relationships while ensuring demand, production schedules, and delivery requirements are effectively coordinated across the business.

Acting as the primary contact for a portfolio of customers, you will play a critical role in balancing customer expectations with operational capability. You will work closely with Planning, Procurement, Operations, and Senior Leadership teams to ensure customer requirements are understood, communicated, and delivered successfully.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner who enjoys customer interaction and wants to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where relationship management is as important as planning expertise.


Customer Supply Chain Planner

Job Description

  • Act as the point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customer supply chain, planning, procurement, and operations teams.
  • Lead regular customer supply chain review meetings and planning discussions.
  • Manage customer communications relating to delivery schedules, demand changes, supply constraints, and operational performance.
  • Coordinate responses to customer enquiries and requests, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Provide customers with updates on supply performance, risks, recovery plans, and delivery commitments.
  • Prepare and present customer-facing reports, performance packs, and planning updates.
  • Escalate and manage supply issues while working collaboratively with internal teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of customer requirements and business priorities.
  • Manage the day-to-day customer order book.
  • Create and maintain master production plans and schedules using the ERP/MRP system.
  • Translate customer demand into executable production and supply plans.
  • Liaise with Production, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure delivery commitments can be achieved.
  • Support the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (S&IOP) process.
  • Monitor demand, capacity, and supply risks and communicate any potential impacts.
  • Produce planning data, reports, manifests, and schedule information as required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and customer service processes.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated and delivered.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Leadership teams.
  • Facilitate discussions around capacity, supply constraints, and delivery priorities.
  • Support decision-making through accurate planning information and analysis.


Customer Supply Chain Planner

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Customer Supply Chain, or a similar role.
  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Strong customer-facing experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing customer demand, schedules, and delivery commitments.
  • ERP/MRP system experience.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple activities and manage changing customer requirements.
