Job Description:
Recruit UK are working with a highly regarded Financial Planning firm who are looking to appoint a Senior Technical Paraplanner to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and technically strong Paraplanner looking to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will become the technical lead within the business, taking ownership of all technical output, supporting the development of advice strategies, and mentoring the wider technical support team.
Working closely with the Advice & Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of advice delivery, technical compliance, and client outcomes across the business.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Acting as the technical specialist and first point of contact for complex planning queries
• Reviewing and checking suitability reports to ensure quality and compliance standards are met
• Coaching, mentoring and developing less experienced team members
• Conducting technical research and analysis across pensions, investments, tax planning and protection
• Undertaking calculations including Pension Contributions, CGT, Income Tax and IHT
• Producing client suitability reports, recommendations and presentation documents
• Supporting the development and implementation of financial planning strategies
• Maintaining and enhancing report templates, research tools and financial planning software
• Liaising with compliance teams and implementing regulatory feedback
• Monitoring and managing new business through to completion
• Conducting pre and post-review meeting analysis and report writing
• Working closely with advisers, clients, providers and support teams to deliver an exceptional client experience

Skills and Experience Required:
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Paraplanning position
• Strong technical knowledge across holistic financial planning
• Extensive experience in pensions, investments, inheritance tax planning
• Experience undertaking complex financial planning calculations
• Chartered Financial Planner status or working towards Chartered
• Experience mentoring, supervising or training junior team members
• Excellent analytical, report writing and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced and growing business
