Caretaker Required - Primary School (South Sheffield)

Location: South Sheffield
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Caretaker to join a welcoming primary school in South Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and practical individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-prepared school environment for pupils and staff.

The successful candidate will be responsible for opening the school each morning, ensuring the site is ready for the start of the school day, and supporting the smooth running of the premises.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Opening the school site each morning and preparing the building for staff and students
• Carrying out general caretaking and facilities duties
• Ensuring the school premises are safe, secure, and well maintained
• Completing basic maintenance tasks and reporting any issues
• Supporting contractors and visitors on site when required
• Managing site checks and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working in a caretaking, premises, or facilities management role
• Be practical, reliable, and able to work independently
• Have good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Take pride in maintaining a high standard of the school environment
• Have experience working within a school or similar setting (desirable)

Important requirements:

• A current DBS on the Update Service is required before starting the role
• Previous caretaking or facilities experience is essential

This is a straight day shift from 7:00am - 3:00pm; there is no split shift involved.
