Accounts Assistant (Temporary, Part-Time)

We are currently supporting a manufacturing business within the advanced alloys sector to recruit a Temporary Part-Time Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for flexible, part-time work within a friendly and supportive finance team.

Initially, this position is offered on a temporary basis for 24 hours per week (3 full days) to provide additional support during a busy period. As the workload continues to grow, there is the potential for both the hours and the role to develop further, making this an excellent opportunity for someone seeking flexibility now with the possibility of increased hours in the future.

Working as part of a small finance team, you will provide day-to-day support across a variety of accounting duties, ensuring financial information is processed accurately and efficiently. Full training will be provided on the company's bespoke finance system.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner.
• Processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Supporting general accounts administration.
• Working confidently with the company's bespoke finance system (training provided).
• Investigating and following up outstanding items and finance queries.
• Ensuring financial information is recorded accurately and maintained to a high standard.
• Providing general support to the wider finance team as required.

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and able to hit the ground running in a busy finance environment.

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar finance role.
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Confident using finance systems and able to learn new software quickly.
• A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team.

Desirable experience:

• Exposure to import/export processes.
• Experience supporting audit preparation.
• Familiarity with invoice finance facilities.

• Temporary, part-time role (24 hours per week across 3 full days).
