  • Understand customers’ technical requirements and work with the internal sales team to prepare detailed proposals and quotations.

  • Define the scope of proposed work clearly, protecting margins and ensuring customer expectations can be met.

  • Research new markets and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and provide monthly reporting on sales activity, pipeline and performance.

  • Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions and relevant industry events.

  • A track record of generating leads, winning new customers and achieving sales targets.

  • Experience selling bespoke engineering solutions or high value contracts.

  • The ability to understand technical requirements and explain the value of a proposed solution.

  • Strong relationship building, presentation and organisational skills.

  • Confidence dealing with customers and decision makers at different levels.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with internal colleagues.

  • A clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel frequently throughout the UK.

A mechanical engineering qualification would be advantageous.
