The Opportunity

As General Store Manager, you'll have full accountability for the store, leading a sizeable management and colleague population and setting the standard for performance across the operation.

You'll be responsible for sales, profitability, productivity, customer experience, operational standards and people development. You'll need the leadership presence and resilience to manage competing priorities while keeping your team focused, engaged and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop a large management and colleague team.
• Take full ownership of store sales, profitability, productivity and key KPIs.
• Drive operational excellence across stock, availability, compliance, health & safety and customer experience.
• Build a high-performance culture through coaching, accountability and succession planning.
• Analyse performance and use data to identify opportunities and drive results.
• Manage labour, payroll and operational costs effectively.
• Lead through change and maintain standards during periods of high volume and intense trading.
• Partner with senior leadership to deliver strategic initiatives and wider business objectives.

About You

You'll be an experienced General Store Manager, Store Manager, Operations Manager or Senior Retail Manager with a proven track record in a high-volume retail environment.

You'll bring:

• Experience leading large teams and complex retail operations.
• Strong commercial and P&L experience with a track record of delivering results.
• The resilience and pace to thrive in a demanding, fast-moving environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
