Are you an experienced Credit Manager looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a credit function and make a real impact?
Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a growing, private equity-backed business looking to strengthen its credit function. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced credit professional to take responsibility for the effective running of the department, while supporting ongoing investment in automation, systems and process improvement.
We’re looking for someone with strong end-to-end credit management experience, excellent systems skills and the confidence to drive improvements, maintain control of the credit process and work closely with stakeholders across the business.
The role:
As Credit Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the credit function, ensuring robust processes are in place to support cash collection, minimise outstanding debt and improve overall efficiency.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the credit function, ensuring effective management of outstanding debt and timely cash collection.
- Monitoring aged debt, debtor days and credit exposure, identifying risks and taking appropriate action.
- Managing escalated accounts, resolving complex queries and negotiating payment arrangements where required.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers to support effective debt resolution.
- Reviewing and improving existing credit control processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
- Supporting the implementation of new systems, automation and procedures across the finance team and wider business.
- Producing regular reporting on aged debt, cash collection performance and key credit KPIs.
- Ensuring credit policies and procedures are consistently followed, challenging where necessary to maintain control and achieve agreed deadlines.
Person specification:
- Proven experience in a Credit Manager or similar senior credit management position.
- Strong knowledge of the end-to-end credit management process, with the ability to oversee and improve day-to-day operations.
- Excellent systems and IT skills, with an interest in automation and continuous process improvement.
- Confident stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships while remaining firm when managing debt and enforcing procedures.
- A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to prioritise workloads, identify risks and drive performance.
- The confidence to challenge existing ways of working and introduce more effective processes.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that is investing in its finance function and looking to improve the way it operates. You’ll have the scope to influence processes, support the introduction of new systems and automation, and make a tangible difference to the efficiency and performance of the credit function.
If you’re looking for a role where you can combine strong technical credit expertise with process improvement and genuine ownership, we’d love to hear from you.
