Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager / Technical Business Analyst to lead large-scale technology transformation and application enhancement initiatives within a global banking environment. The role will focus on delivering platform upgrades, migrations, process improvements, and technology change programmes impacting thousands of users across multiple regions.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, engineers, architects, and third-party vendors to drive end-to-end delivery while ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex technology transformation, migration, and rollout programmes within a banking or financial services environment.
• Gather and document functional and technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
• Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, product owners, and vendors to define and deliver solutions.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, release management, reconciliation, deployment, and BAU transition activities.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and governance reporting.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings across global teams.
• Support change management, user adoption, training, and knowledge transfer activities.
• Ensure compliance with technology controls, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver regular status updates and executive-level reporting.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, Business Analysis, or Technology Delivery.
• Strong experience within Banking, Financial Services, Capital Markets, Retail Banking, Investment Banking, or Financial Technology (FinTech) environments.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale technology transformation or cloud migration programmes.
• Experience working with software engineering, API development, and platform engineering teams.
• Strong business analysis and requirements management skills.
• Experience documenting:
• User stories
• Acceptance criteria
• Functional specifications
• Process flow diagrams
• Data flow diagrams
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft toolsets.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams and third-party vendors.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience overseeing testing, release management, production deployment, and operational handover.

Preferred Experience

• Experience within global banking organisations such as HSBC, Barclays, Citi, JPMorgan, UBS, Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, or similar financial institutions.
• Knowledge of banking controls, governance, audit, risk, and compliance processes.
• Experience delivering developer platform, enterprise platform, or internal technology transformation programmes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Budget management and management information (MI) reporting.
• Experience driving organisation-wide adoption of new platforms and processes.
