Senior Accounts & Tax Manager – Sheffield (Hybrid 1 day wfh) | £50,000–£60,000

We are working with an established independent accountancy practice in Sheffield who are looking for an experienced Accounts & Tax Manager to join their collaborative and growing team.

This is a client facing position offering the opportunity to manage a diverse client portfolio, overseeing accounts and offering tailored tax advice to a variety of business across various sectors, supporting and developing team members and working closely with the Directors.

The role is based in modern offices in Sheffield, with a relaxed, sociable working environment with flexible working hours – this is a modern thinking practice with a sensible work life balance!

Your remit will include:

• Reviewing and finalising year-end accounts and business tax/ self-assessment tax
• Reviewing VAT returns.
• Managing a varied portfolio of clients from sole traders to limited businesses
• Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns.
• Providing tax planning advice and dealing with more complex client queries.
• Managing and developing members of the team.
• Monitoring workflow, billing and deadlines.
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing ongoing professional advice.

You will need to have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification
• Minimum five years' accountancy practice experience.
• Strong accounts and tax experience.
• Confidence in building strong working relationships with clients and providing advice.
• Previous experience supervising or managing staff.
• Experience with IRIS, Sage, Xero or similar accounts software.
• Strong Excel skills.
