The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join a growing passive fire protection contractor working across the North, including Sheffield, Leeds and Manchester. The role will involve installing, repairing and maintaining fire doors across a range of commercial and residential projects. We are looking for a reliable, skilled carpenter who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and is looking for long-term stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing new fire doors, frames and associated ironmongery.

• Carrying out fire door repairs, remedial works and adjustments.

• Replacing hinges, closers, seals, locks and other components.

• Ensuring all works comply with relevant fire safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

• Completing accurate job reports and photographic evidence.

• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fire door installation and repairs.

• Longevity with current / recent employer.

• Relevant carpentry or joinery qualifications preferred.

• Good understanding of fire door compliance and installation standards.

• Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Reliable, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Package

• £36,000 – £40,000 salary.
