Domestic Assistant Band A - #1715781

Domestic assistants required to workwithin residential care facilities. You will be responsible for routine cleaning in this enivorment and work to strict quality and hygiene standards. You will help create an environment where staff can effectively care for patients or service users, significantly reducing the risk of infection.

Duties will inclued

  dusting

  
  


• 
  

  cleaning toilets and bathroom areas

  
  


• 
  

  cleaning patient or service user rooms

  
  


• 
  

  cleaning communal areas, such as lounges, dining areas and corridors

  
  


• 
  

  cleaning utility rooms

  
  


• 
  

  using the most appropriate cleaning equipment for the task, including vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, mops or electric floor cleaners

  
  


• 
  

  using cleaning sprays and other chemicals safely and effectively

  
  


• 
  

  using domestic laundry equipment, such as washing machines and irons, to clean and care for bed linens and clothing, particularly in residential facilities

  
  


• 
  

  performing some kitchen duties, including basic food preparation, in a residential setting

  
  


• 
  

  tidying rooms, including clearing tables, washing up and disposing of litter

  
  


• 
  

  making beds, which may include correctly handling soiled linen and clothing

  
  


• 
  

  keeping up to date with safety procedures, for example, knowing escape routes, muster points and fire extinguisher locations

  
  


• 
  

  undertaking appropriate workplace training and domestic services personnel development

  
  

Working hours are three days a week 0800-1600 this will include weekends when required.
