We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Engineer to join our established IT team, to be based at our Sheffield site.

The role

As IT Engineer, you will provide first and second line technical support to all internal staff, across multiple locations in the UK, Europe, and the US.

You will strive to meet end-user demands, solve customer problems, and drive client satisfaction.

Key Duties

  • Providing 1st / 2nd line support towards hardware and software issues (onsite and remote).
  • Ensuring all incidents and service requests are accurately recorded, prioritised and progress recorded in the IT helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Highlighting repeat problems and potential system improvements.
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating technical documentation.
  • Provisioning/deprovisioning of users accounts across business systems.
  • Installing, maintaining, and supporting new software applications, hardware, and systems.
  • Ensuring our internal asset management system is maintained and updated.
  • Monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, using a proactive monitoring tool PRTG.
  • Supporting implementation of IT change related activities.

What are we looking for?

Key skills

  • GCSE Maths and English
  • Further education qualification completed.
  • Previous Experience in an IT Support role
  • Technical troubleshooting experience
  • Windows operating systems.
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft Intune
  • Anti-Virus
  • Networking troubleshooting LAN / WLAN.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident problem solver and decision maker
