Interim Commercial Finance Manager - #2155695

Sewell Wallis is currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Interim Commercial Finance Manager to join a leading South Yorkshire organisation to play a key role in supporting financial control, commercial decision-making and business growth.

This Commercial Finance Manager role is to be initially recruited on a fixed-term contract for 6 months. Ideally, the successful candidate will work on site in north Sheffield; however, the organisation are prepared to offer hybrid working for someone travelling further afield.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you'll act as a trusted finance partner to key commercial stakeholders. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to influence business decisions, improve processes and develop a high-performing finance function.

What will you be doing?

• Act as the financial lead across financial and management accounting activities.
• Deputise for the Head of Commercial Finance when required.
• Lead, manage and develop a small team of direct reports.
• Partner closely with commercial leadership teams, providing insight and explanation of financial results.
• Support the commercial team with product costing and pricing.
• Consolidate receipt forecasts and provide clear analysis of weekly variances across actuals and forecast.
• Provide commercial decision support and financial insight to the wider business.
• Oversee the implementation and control of relevant turnover and intercompany transactions.
• Support business change initiatives and key finance projects.
• Identify opportunities to challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement.

What skills are we looking for?

We're looking for an experienced finance professional who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with excellent commercial and stakeholder management skills.

You'll ideally have:

• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). However, candidates with significant relevant experience who are qualified by experience will also be considered.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in a business partnering or commercially focused finance role.
• Thorough product costing knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel modelling skills.

What's on offer?

• Salary of up to £70,000
• £315 per month car allowance
• 35 days holiday pro rata for 6 months
• 10% pension contribution
