We're working with an established regional law firm looking to add an Assistant Compliance Officer to their Risk and Compliance team.

This is a broad role, working closely with experienced compliance professionals and supporting colleagues across the firm on a range of regulatory and risk matters.

There’s a real longer-term opportunity here too. The appointment forms part of the firm’s succession planning, so you’ll have support to develop your knowledge, take on more responsibility and progress within the team.

The role?

You’ll work closely with experienced compliance leaders, supporting the firm across

• SRA regulations and professional standards
• AML and financial crime
• Data protection and information governance
• File reviews, audits and accreditations
• Policies, procedures and staff training

About you?

• Experience in legal compliance, legal practice or a legal support role.
• Graduates with relevant experience will also be considered.
• Strong written skills and confidence communicating with colleagues at different levels.
• Organised and comfortable managing competing priorities.
• A curious approach and an interest in regulation and professional standards.
• Looking to build a long-term career in legal risk and compliance.
